Perhaps it was a dream she thought. Perhaps if she pinched herself she would wake up. But she didn’t want to wake up. She wanted to stay in this dream world where she couldn’t hear the voices in her head. In this dream world, her smile was more than muscle movement. She had a feeling she was dreaming, but can’t remember how she fell asleep. “It feels like a running film, I can see things going on around me but I can’t be fully present” she thought. If I wasn’t, how could I feel that?” Now having the closure of knowing she’s alive, Alice walks around her dream world going with whatever her subconscious throws at her.. Never to awake from the coma she has fallen into after a car accident on the way to work. The voices in her head were paramedics looking for a response.
